Cocoa Checkers is a sharp, handsome take on classic 8x8 draughts that runs free in your browser with nothing to download. Slide your pieces diagonally across the dark squares, jump to capture, and chain multi-jumps to sweep the board in a single turn. Captures are mandatory and full jump chains are enforced, so every position hides a tactic. Push a piece to the far row to crown a King that strikes forward and backward. Face a real minimax AI with alpha-beta search across three levels: relaxed Easy, sharper Normal, and a punishing Hard that reads several moves ahead and weighs material, advancement and king safety. Or switch to local two-player pass-and-play on one device. Selected pieces and their legal landings light up, and pieces forced to capture are flagged in red. Your win-loss record against the computer is saved. Plays great on phone and desktop.

Desktop: click one of your pieces to select it, then click a highlighted square to move or jump. Mobile: tap a piece, then tap a glowing destination. The selected piece and every legal landing are highlighted; any piece forced to capture is ringed in red. Captures are mandatory, so if a jump exists you must take it, and multi-jump chains must run to the end. Reach the far row to promote a man into a King that moves and captures in all four diagonals. Win by capturing every enemy piece or leaving your opponent with no legal move. Tips: bait the mandatory-capture rule to force the AI into a jump that opens a double-jump for you; hold your back row intact to block enemy Kings; and trade pieces when ahead in material to simplify toward a winning endgame.
